Stone-carver

Kupapik is a stone-carver who has worked in communities across Nunavut. He has been carving sinch the mid-1990's learning techniques from artists Alex Alikasuak and George Arluk. His first solo exhibition was at the Albers Gallery in San Francisco in 1997 and in 1999 was commissioned by the National Hockey League to produce a work for the Visions of Hockey Collection! His works are in the collection of the Musee national des beaux-arts du Quebec.
